Getting into shape and feeling fit isn’t something that you struggle through for a month or two and then go back to your normal life when you’ve reached your goal weight.
This is a way of life. It’s about trying new things, concocting new recipes, sweating and lifting and eating and experiencing life in a different way than you ever have before!
Everyone goes through different phases of a weight loss journey. I’ve tried eating nothing, working out constantly and eating everything, counting calories, weighing myself obsessively, quitting, backpedaling, and starting all over again.
Now I’ve finally settled into a routine that fits wonderfully in to my life, and that I actually enjoy! I love to RUN, and I use Nike Training Club on my iphone for my strength training. I alternate these exercises Friday through Tuesday, and I stay active!
I love dancing, hiking, going for long walks, horseback riding, swimming, and being outdoors! I’m not a gym girl- the whole world is a gym! Get outside and marvel at the beauty of it all!!
I’m moving slowly towards a body that I will be completely comfortable with- and it’s okay if it takes me a while. I want to enjoy this, and truly weave it into the fabric of my life, rather than stress and push and freak about it.
